Well, Christmas is almost here! I'm trying to be really prepared this year. I was lucky enough to have some time off this year before the holidays so I haven't been all stressed and rushed. I've got Cheeze Louise in the oven now. This is the second today. My family loves it! My brother just told me he wants his own!
I have been working on a couple of things in the pottery shop. I have these two pieces ready to bisque that are for a previous customer, and a few more odd pieces. Is's been so cold I can hardly make myself go out there! I have good heat but it takes a little while to get warm after I start it. And it's sooo cozy in here!

Thanks!
I want to thank everyone who came out to the Carolina Pottery Festival yesterday. I had a great show and I appreciate each of you who came by and checked out my pots. Thanks again and I hope to see you all next time!

guests in the Bluebird Manse
I have a happy couple in my little courtyard. We put up a box on one of the corner posts last year and though they looked it over last year they decided it wasn't for them We put up a new box beside my studio this year and thought they were going for it, They checked it out within 24 hrs and flitted in and out for about a week. Then they came back to this one and settled in. I can tell they have babies now because they're carrying bugs to the box all day long. When I sit or work in the courtyard they eye me with great suspicion and are easily frightened away. They're so beautiful and timid. My Daddy always loved to have bluebirds around . I told my husband when he put the box up and they came that my Daddy was smiling down from heaven on him. I can imagine what paradise is like with my Mother and Daddy surrounded by all kinds of singing birds and beautiful sweet smelling flowers. Lots of bluebirds!
